Data Centre : A Storage Hub
Data. Now-a-days, this data is very important. It needs to be stored. It needs to be processed. It needs to be mined. Also it needs to be protected. Various operations are carried out on this data. So we need to store and process this data. Processing the data basically means removing the unnecessary part of the present data, and making room for the more data that is to be processed. Let’s dive into this topic.
Data Center :
We can say that the data center is basically used for storing the data in an organized manner with high security and backup. Like a CPU for the computer, it’s the main component for an organization, without which not a single operation can be carried out. Recently, these data centers are available off premises too, along with on premises as before.
Roles of the Data Center :
1] Store the data and differentiate it.
2] Keep it’s backup incase of the data loss.
3] Machine learning.
4] AI(Artificial Intelligence).
Serving Procedure :
These three layers namely, core layer, aggregation layer, and the access layer work in co-ordination while serving an organization.
1] Core Layer :
This layer provides a packet-switching service for the high speed data transfer from and to the data center.
2] Aggregation Layer :
This layer provides the default gateway and the security to the data. It’s basically like or a firewall. It also keeps the check on the cyberattacks.
3] Access Layer :
This layer provides the physical connection of the servers in the data center to the communication network. This layer mainly consists of switches used for connecting various various servers and the network.
Each server has it’s own IP(Internet Protocol) address which helps for an efficient data communication. The server’s IP is the source IP, whereas the user’s IP is the destination IP. Using this incredible architecture a data center serves the organization.
